Job Description:

Starting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing!! Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay.

Summary/Objective

The Team Lead will support the Group Lead by training associates, aiding in part changeovers of all equipment, recording and auditing production data and providing feedback to team members. Team Lead is responsible for safety compliance at all times in their cell.

Essential Job Functions

  • Train cell associates in all production and preventative maintenance activities
  • Ensure cell associates are performing all tasks in compliance with OSHA standards and Ruger safety policies
  • Monitor and record associate and equipment performance, update LOS metrics and create schedules
  • Provide performance feedback to associates for growth and development
  • Change molds and material in molding machines as directed by Group Leader
  • Load, start and unload debind ovens and perform QC inspection as directed by Group Leader
  • Load, start and unload sintering furnaces and perform QC inspection as directed by Group Leader
  • Set up coining/reaming/tapping/machining fixtures as directed by Group Leader
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Participate in Daily Kaizen activities
  • Transport work-in-progress between areas of the shop
  • Ensure safe work environment at all times and report any safety risks or hazards to Group Lead immediately
  • Conduct daily TOM Talks with cell associates
  • Ensure cell coverage for Team Lead responsibilities when not present
  • Communicate company-wide and RPM specific messages to cell associates as directed
  • Ensure coordination and completion of cell associate trainings as required
  • Other tasks as assigned

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high volume, medium mix manufacturing environment

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, standing and walking. The position requires lifting up to 40 pounds and manipulating up to 1000 pounds several times throughout the day.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma is recommended.
  • Previous production experience – specifically metalworking
    • Metal Injection Molding, Metal Powders, Sintering, Milling, Heat Treatment
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Knowledge of or experience in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Level II certification of magnetic particle and fluorescent dye penetrant NDT within 180 days

Additional Requirements
You must be 18 years of age, able to pass a drug screen and background screen.
