HIRING IMMEDIATELY - looking for open availability - Weekend Availability Mandatory

We are looking for a Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. You should be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Welcoming guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, guiding them to their tables if needed, and providing menus and assistance with menu choices.

2. Order Processing: Accurately recording guest orders, including any special requests or dietary restrictions, and conveying them to the kitchen staff.

3. Cash Handling: Processing payments, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures.

4. Knowledge of Menu: Having a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu items, specials, and promotions to provide recommendations and answer guest questions.

5. Problem-Solving: Addressing guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, seeking solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.

6. Efficiency: Ensuring that orders are processed quickly and efficiently to minimize wait times for guests.

7. Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized cashier station and dining area.

8. Teamwork: Collaborating with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

9. Upselling: Recommending additional menu items, desserts, or beverages to enhance the guest's dining experience and increase sales.

10. Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of transactions and reconciling cash at the end of each shift.

A friendly and bubbly restaurant cashier plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish

Skills

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented

Pay: $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
