Starting pay for tutors is $20.00/hr

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide competent and effective educational support for assigned students and subject matter
• Must be confident and capable of communicating and teaching assigned subject-matter on the spot
• Prepare for each instructional session; gather and prepare materials as appropriate including review and understanding of individual student requirements
• Develop relationships and take a vested interest in each student such that the student feels comfortable and the tutor is informed on the learning needs and progress of each student
• Comply with all Studyville objectives, guidelines and procedures regarding student interactions, dress code, and communication expectations
• Maintain daily student records including evaluation and tracking of progress
• Be positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging through all student and staff interaction

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate with students
• Tutoring/teaching experience in Math, ELA, literacy, and reading comprehension at the 5-8th grade levels
• Priority will be given for those who can tutor both math and literacy

SCHEDULE

• Must have daytime availability: 12-3:20pm, Mon/Wed/Fri

• Tutoring will occur at City School Atlanta
• 1300 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW , Atlanta, GA 30314
