As a teacher for ClassUp, you will have a flexible and consistent schedule that you set. We teach all subjects, but primarily focus on math and ELA classes and have ClassUp provided learning plans for our teachers to use. This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50 minute 1 on 1 lessons. As a ClassUp teacher you will build a welcoming and fun learning environment for your student as you help them grow. It is important for our teachers to be reliable role models for our students who come to class well prepared, on time, and with a passionate and kind demeanor.Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the ClassUp App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with ClassUp staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC
• Able to comit to a year of teaching with ClassUp
• Availability between 3-10 PM EST on Monday through Friday or during the weekends
• Access to a private and quiet location
• Passion for helping students learn
• Currently located in the United States

• Reliable: They come to class on time, prepared, and ready to tackle the students needs.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour
