Job Details

• Schedule: Mon/Tues - Friday, 1PM-6PM
• Timeline: June 17th - August 9th (some sites starting June 10th)
• Work Locations: Landcaster

Job Highlights

• Pay rate:
  • $22 per hour standard
  • $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
  • $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor
• Potential to work 160 hours during the LA County Library summer period
• Those looking for full-time hours will be eligible for LAUSD tutoring in the morning hours, based on location
• Bonus for outstanding attendance
• Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs
• Opportunity to work year around with LAUSD and other school districts

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)
• Established proficiency in subject matter
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
• Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
• Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
• Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
• Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification
• National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
