Student Hires is looking for energetic After-School Program Leaders to lead a class of elementary-aged students. (TK - 6th grade)

Responsibilities:

• Managing a full class of elementary-aged students.
• Lead a chess club
• Lead class lessons using materials and curriculum provided by Student Hires.
• Provide homework assistance to students.
• Assist in the creation of an engaging curriculum by providing input & gathering feedback from students.
• Implement lesson plans and collaborate with fellow team members.
• Work with program team to deliver an exceptional experience.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Communicate with site coordinators, teachers, parents & guardians.
• Creating a positive & uplifting classroom environment.
• Participate in staff workshops & development.

General Requirements:

• Experience working with children
• Proof of graduation from High School or G.E.D. Required;
• Ability to speak and write standard English.

Background Checks/Testing:

• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
• Provide a clear TB test.
• CPR/First Aid Certification must be obtained prior to starting work.

Job Type: Part-Time (8-15 hours per week)
Pay: $18 - $20 Per Hour (Potential to grow as you grow with Student Hires)
Schedule: 4 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:00PM - 4:00 PM
Education: High School or Equivalent (College Preferred)
