Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural components according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, proficiency in using hand tools, and the ability to work with various materials.

Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of structural components
- Fabricate and assemble structural components using stick welding techniques
- Use hand tools, such as grinders, saws, drills, and torches, to shape and trim materials
- Perform machining tasks to ensure proper fit and alignment of components
- Operate cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials as needed
- Adhere to relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations during the fabrication process
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform pipe threading and fitting tasks as required
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure precise measurements

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or construction setting
- Proficiency in stick welding techniques
- Strong knowledge of hand tools used in fabrication processes
- Familiarity with machining operations for proper component fitment
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Experience with pipe threading is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.

Note: Abilty to read a tape measure is a must, Spanish speaking ok, must be able to communicate in English as well

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
