Stroud, Willink & Howard, LLC is Hiring a Human Resource/Marketing Specialist Near Madison, WI

Stroud Willink & Howard, LLC, a law firm located on the Capitol Square, is seeking a full-time passionate, and engaging Human Resource/Marketing Specialist to join our team! Reporting to the Equity Members and the Firm Administrator along with working alongside an excellent team, this role will provide support on a variety of initiatives including Recruitment & Selection, Onboarding & Orientation, Coaching Employees/Client Relations, Marketing, and much more.

Human Resources

  • Facilitate the recruitment process of attorneys and staff from beginning to end, ensuring positive candidate experiences.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding to optimize first impressions and ensure a smooth offboarding process when necessary.
  • Manage employee files and employee benefit programs and assist employees with related inquiries.
  • Supervise and coach our team of legal assistants/paralegals/office staff.
  • Works with staff to cover absences.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating documentation of firm policies and procedures.

Marketing Support

  • Support the organization and coordination of marketing events.
  • Be responsible for maintaining website content along with social media posts.
  • Upload blogs, press releases, and other content to the firm’s website.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Internet navigation, email usage, pdfs, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all internal and external contacts, customers, and potential customers.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Firm Administrator.
  • Organize and manage offsite records.
  • Perform special projects, including but not limited to scanning and saving documents and files; destroying files as directed; photocopying, etc.

Competencies

  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to proofread and perform editing (e.g. punctuation, grammar, spelling).
  • Communicate with and follow instructions respectfully and effectively from a diverse group of attorneys and staff.
  • Superb organizational skills.
  • Computer operation and knowledge that includes Office 365.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media marketing.
  • General knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws.

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of office administration experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or business-related areas or equivalent on-the-job experience.
