Strongbridge, LLC has an engaging opportunity for a talented Data Engineer / System Engineer to build their career and help save lives on the nation's road infrastructure. You will build and support software products used by the Department of Transportation and the public at large to help ensure the safety of drivers and passengers on public roadways.

Candidates must be clearable for a Public Trust Position – must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident or is authorized to work in US, who has lived in the US for the more than 3 years.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage modern data solutions and cloud-based services as a part of a cross-functional engineering and development team. Contribute to the end-to-end process of architecting, designing, developing, and optimizing a robust and scalable data pipeline to support various business needs.
• Provide expert-level guidance and technical leadership to the data engineering and software development teams. Be a subject matter expert in your domain.
• Explore, investigate, and recommend innovative tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance data infrastructure.
• Analyze the scope of work and provide estimated development timelines.
• Accept constructive feedback from colleagues and grow your skillset on the job.
• Document design decisions and technical details.
• Take on additional responsibilities over time and advance your career.

Required:

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of experience designing and developing solutions for large-scale data systems, services, and platforms..

• 5 years of experience with SQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data mart structures
• 5 years of experience working on Azure Platform
• 3 years of experience implementing modern data solutions using Microsoft Azure
• 5 years of experience with unstructured and semi-structured data

• Experience with Data Lake and Data Lakehouse concepts and design patterns

Preferred:

• Experience with Azure ML or Azure Open AI
• Experience in data management and data governance
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with customers and management.

• Ability to design and document best practices and operations standard operating procedures.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
