Strobes N More is Hiring a Warehouse Specialist Near Westerly, RI

Summary

Strobes N' More, New England's premier distributor, installer, and servicer of emergency vehicle equipment, is seeking a Customer Service Representative with an immediate start date. We are open to both entry-level and experienced representatives, and the position includes all aspects of answering phones, emails, and handling walk-in customers – with quality control and customer satisfaction being the top priorities. As mentioned, the role will ultimately be responsible for assisting all past, present, and future customers with their emergency warning product and equipment needs, including placing orders and assisting with product questions while following the company’s policies and procedures.

We stock ~1,500 emergency vehicle lighting SKUs across 35 different brands in our warehouse and serve a variety of customers types – including but not limited to law enforcement, fire, EMS, and a variety of different commercial end-users.

You will have the opportunity to join a growing team and receive training and guidance from our experienced Customer Support Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of incoming phone calls regarding past, present and future orders with Strobes N’ More
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate way, via phone or email
  • Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products accordingly
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate them when necessary
  • Confirm all customer information is correct on every order
  • Thoroughly note all orders explaining customer interactions
  • Expand product knowledge through cross training and one on one training
  • Monitor email account that will be assigned to you
  • Use best practices in customer service techniques to develop rapport and build relationships with customers
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments (e.g., purchasing, warehouse, installation &upfitting)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skill Requirements

  • Experience as a Customer Service Representative or contact center (omnichannel – voice, text, email, etc.) role is required
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other CX-focused software programs
  • Familiarity with the emergency vehicle equipment industry is a plus

Educational & Work Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least (1) year of customer support experience required, preferably in a call center like setting.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday
