Strimling Dermatology, Laser & Vein Institute is Hiring a Medical Front Office Receptionist Near Las Vegas, NV

As a Front Office Receptionist, you are an important ambassador of our practice's first impressions to our patients, including greeting each patient upon arrival with a smile & providing a high level of customer service in order to maintain a positive company image & patient experience.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Greet each patient upon arrival, check-in & obtain any updated information / ID cards and check patient in via ModMed EMA EHR.
  • Check patients out & collect appropriate copay/deductible/co-insurance &/or service fee.
  • Process cash, check, credit card & Care Credit transactions appropriately.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, & answer questions &/or provide information regarding the services & products offered by the practice.
  • Monitor & respond to various patient inquiries &/or requests via multiple online solutions, e-mail, voicemail & fax.
  • Retrieve & disburse incoming faxes & messages to the appropriate department.
  • Monitor, retrieve, & update status on incoming patient referrals via NaviNet & PAR80.
  • Insurance benefit & eligibility verification.
  • Maintain a clean, organized & stocked work area and waiting room.
  • Clerical duties including, faxing, light filing, copying, scanning & e-mails.
  • Travel to our satellite office in Boulder City may be REQUIRED.

Required skills, experience & education:

  • Ability to multi-task, effectively & efficiently perform job duties under pressure, & maintain a positive attitude & professionalism in a fast-paced inclusive, diverse and supportive environment.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with patients, co-workers, management, & physicians.
  • Receptive to constructive criticism.
  • Good communication, typing & time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. is a plus.
  • Detail oriented, organized, dependable & punctual.
  • Proficient English language skills - reading, writing, speaking.
  • Dermatology experience & Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • One year prior Medical Receptionist experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED
