Summary

The Policy and Procedure Coordinator supports policy and procedures development and maintenance, as part of the Compliance Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews regulatory and funding requirements and identifies requirements for ongoing compliance, including but not limited to HRSA guidelines.
  • Manages policy and procedure library, establishing and enforcing standards for structure, content and format.
  • Coordinates maintenance of policy management software.
  • Develops policies and procedures to support organizational compliance.
  • Develops educational resources and training for staff who write, review, edit and use policies, procedures.
  • Develops educational resources and training for staff who are responsible for local departmental procedures, including organization, retention, format, and support to assure aligned and professional local resources.
  • Monitors revisions, additions of procedures to ensure consistency across departments.
  • Assists with editing and formatting relevant documents.
  • Provides guidance to assist policy owners to meet relevant regulatory and accreditation standards related to policies/procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare
  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of the following applications: MS Office. Proficient with MS Word
  • Knowledge of Internet and Intranet resources. 
  • Good proofreading skills
  • Outstanding and meticulous organizational skills
