We are seeking a Pattern Maker to become a key member of our technical design team to create stretch fabric décor patterns for printing and CNC cutting, tech packs, and related documentation for in-house manufacturing. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Design:

• Pick up assigned pattern making jobs to complete on schedule.
• Use Sketchup and PatternSmith to create patterns for both Dye Sub printing and CNC cutting. Learn all aspects of Stretch Shapes pattern-making, primarily focused on projects with unusual or complicated design specifications.
• Create custom instructions for production packets.
• Sample and Sew-by sewing when projects involve unusual construction or finishing details.
• Pops with production team leads to outline complex projects.
• Assists production team with bundling complex projects
• Explain construction of complex projects to QC staff as needed

Secondary Duties:

Intake and Scheduling:

• Watch for incoming orders, print packing slip from Quickbooks.
• Read packing slip, enters orders into production, highlight packing slip, stage clipboard for next steps.
• Uses Slack to ask clarifying questions of Sales team if invoices are incomplete or if discrepancies arise.
• Checks CAF if applicable, requests assets from PD&E or Sales if needed for pattern making.

• Maintains clean and organized work areas.
• Contribute suggestions for continuous operational improvements.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Participate in meetings as directed by management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of sewn product construction and pattern making standards and methodology.
• Ability to operate a variety of sewing machines (overlock, sergers, zig-zag, single needle, grommet machine, bartack) preferred.
• Experience working with lycra or stretch fabrics preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience and confidence with pattern design software, SketchUp, CAD, or similar.
• Experience and confidence with common administrative software such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Experience working in an MRP environment is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally perform tedious tasks in varying positions including standing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
• Ability to lift/carry 25lbs unassisted
• Ability to push minimum 100 pounds
• Ability to properly set up and climb a ladder
