Street Communication Inc is Hiring a Material Handler Near Boston, MA

Material Handler, will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling, moving, and organizing materials and products. You will be responsible for safely and accurately receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials and products to support production and order fulfillment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming materials and products, verifying accuracy against purchase orders or shipping documents.

Unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment.

Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to supervisors.

Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.

Retrieve materials from storage areas as needed for production or order fulfillment.

Prepare materials and products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging for pickup or delivery.

Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including keeping aisles clear and storage areas organized.

Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production and shipping schedules.

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.

Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials repeatedly.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording inventory data.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.47 - $24.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
