Primary accountability:

• Responsible for inbound and outbound freight for manufacturing and branch locations
• Provide coding for Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification system
• Ensure customs compliance for international freight
• Work directly for freight forwarders to ensure best route and cost option
• Lead domestic standard and hot shot freight options
• Reduce overall spend for logistics group

Key position functions:

• Working with Import forwarders to ensure best routing of inbound and outbound freight
• Approval of freight and crating invoices for processing
• Provide tracking for Ocean, Air and Truck freight and communicating that statue of these shipments internally as required
• Develop KPIs for group as directed by Supply Chain Manager
• Support the set up and maintenance of formal contracts for courier, truck, air and ocean providers for incoming and outgoing freight
• Provide inbound/outbound freight quotations as required
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by Supply Chain Manager
• Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. Guiding principles, Health, Safety, Quality and environmental regulations and polices

Preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:

• College degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics or equivalent experience
• Five years’ experience in logistics including experience with customs
• Superior time management and organizational skills
• Solid negotiating skills
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Advance proficiency using MS Office applications
• ERP Skills (SAP preferred)
• Working knowledge of 6A and 6D Wellhead, Gate Valve Check Valve and Chokes would be considered an asset
• Working Knowledge of HTS classification system
• Understanding of manufacturing environment
• The ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment
