Key position functions include:

• Collaborate with senior management team colleagues to achieve budgeted P&L targets.
• Review Branch requirements, monitor inventories and coordinate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to optimize availability of equipment.
• Oversee the scheduling, planning and distribution of Assembly, Test and Paint (ATP) activities in East Texas.
• Inventory ownership and monitoring, including allocation and picking of existing inventory to orders, substituting of inventory, cycle counting, measuring inventory turns, receiving and distributing.
• Work with Demand Planners and Sales to ensure visibility of equipment needs and timelines.
• Coordinate regular production meetings with ATP, Manufacturing and Demand Planners.
• Review and approve the ATP schedule and assess production variances to maximize output capacity.
• Ensure completion of documentation – MTRs, routers, inspection report for all work orders.
• Liaise closely with Supply Chain for outsourcing requirements to ensure lowest cost, best delivery and highest quality is achieved.
• Review branch demand with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure ATP activities achieve company needs.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify opportunities for existing inventory substitutions.
• Review Bill of Materials with Manufacturing and Engineering, and recommend changes in the best interest of cost.
• Work with Branch Operations Manager to monitor slow moving inventory in Branches and ensure that the equipment is consumed or moved to active areas.
• Support ATP Supervisors to ensure company policy and best industry practices are applied with regards to safety and quality.
• Coordinate shipping schedule of parts and equipment to Branches, and optimize freight loads in conjunction with the Supply Chain Transport/Customs Coordinator.
• Ensure transactions are completed in SAP throughout production.
• Responsible for management of cycle counts and investigating variances. Ensure inventory is correctly stored in the proper location, with required identification and traceability.
• Run regular reports to assess production variances, ATP schedules and capacity, etc.
• With General Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Manufacturing Manager, identify opportunities for improvement.
• In conjunction with QA/QC maintain and control non-conformances.

Preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:

• 10 years of related production experience, with prior responsibility for overseeing product assembly, distribution and inventory.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• A strong background with wellhead or related oilfield equipment is an asset.
• Graduate of an Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Technology Program is an asset.
• Proficient with ERP operating systems, preferably with SAP
• Knowledge of API, ISO and material specifications.
