Overview

This position will be based in Mentor, Ohio 

Job Summary: Provide strategic leadership to team overseeing the development and maintenance of our third-party Field Partner (FP) network and servicing all the Stratus product offerings/departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff to ensure that work is completed appropriately and in a timely manner. Ensure that the procedures and systems in place are followed, but also partner with the VP to drive change and develop the department to achieve the stated objectives.
  • Drive strategic cost savings plans and initiatives
  • Manage the Team Lead(s) and Territory Manager(s)
  • Territory Manager(s) and Team Lead(s) will engage Director as necessary on escalated events
  • Conduct a weekly one-on-one meeting with the Team Lead(s) and Territory Manager(s) who will be required to submit status updates and correct course on open issues as needed, to Director
  • Support, develop, and coach employees
  • Promote a professional, helpful image of the department within the company by monitoring inter-departmental communications, setting a positive department culture, keeping the lines of communication open with other departments, and actively seeking feedback and improvement opportunities
  • Work with Territory Managers to review performance and costs relating to pricing agreements with Preferred Field Partners
  • Ensure that all Field Partners are treated fairly and ethically
  • Ensure optimal performance through review and analysis of performance score cards for team members and Field Partners
  • Partner with VP to communicate FP performance and corrective action plans in place to Department Leaders as necessary
  • Collaborate with VP and other Department Leaders to determine quantifiable and meaningful metrics respective to the product offering and system capabilities
  • Review metrics and data to determine if additional PFP resources/replacements are required
  • Give final approval for PFP negotiated rates
  • Keep the VP aware of any major issues or projects, recurring trends, or improvement opportunities
  • Periodically travel to Field Partners to establish and maintain relationships and to resolve major problems
  • Attend trade shows
  • Partner with VP on strategic initiatives as dictated by the enterprise
  • Collaborate with other Directors, Team Lead(s) and Territory Manager(s) to create proactive plans to ensure enterprise initiatives are met
  • Other assignments at discretion of the VP and Enterprise leadership

  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • File management within Windows
  • Able to quickly learn new programs

Education, experience, certifications

  • 8 years’ recent experience in developing and managing a 3rd party vendor network preferably in a relatable industry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in an office environment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is strongly preferred

Physical and mental demands

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a multi-tasking and strict deadline driven environment
  • Position may require working before or after regularly scheduled hours as business needs arise

Working Conditions 

  • Prolonged hours in front of computer
  • Travel up to 6 weeks per year
