Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Network Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline, and six (6) years experience applying fundamental skills and concepts using established procedures and standard practices to work problems or limited scope based on detailed instructions from the supervisor or instructor. An additional nine (9) years or an Associate’s Degree with seven (7) additional years may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.

Job Description:
Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems
• Provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the enclave networks and systems.
• Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Familiarity with Cisco IOS, F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto hardware and software a plus.
• Schedules, coordinates and executes firmware upgrades and hardware migrations.
• Coordinates with all responsible users and external orgs to resolve network or system incidents.
• Familiarity with the AWS cloud environment, in particular EC2 and VPC
• Familiarity with configuring DNS BIND
• Familiarity with running common commands in Linux OS.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation, particularly Ansible, is a plus.
DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT level 1 is required (SEC ce or A or Network )
