What You’ll Get to Do:
The successful candidate is a highly skilled and dynamic individual contributor role that will work directly with the CEO and other company leadership to drive corporate strategy, business capture, and technology fielding. To be effective, a successful candidate must have a unique blend of strong organization and communication skills, personal initiative, leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to convert a customer’s operational need into a technical approach. This position will include strategic, business capture, and operational responsibilities and will include interfacing with Stratom’s most valuable customers and internal stakeholders.

More About the Role

  • Strategic Planning and Support: Act as a strategic advisor to corporate leadership. Assist in prioritizing and managing the company’s strategies, objectives, and initiatives including conducting research, providing data analysis to support decision-making, and assisting in evaluating the feasibility and impact of potential projects.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to see the big picture. Ability to understand strategic intent and then organize, document, and drive the execution of corporate and customer engagement strategies 
  • Strategic Business and Partner Engagement: Work closely with our strategic business partners to develop business engagement strategies, objectives, and targets. Assist the executive leadership in ensuring success and ongoing communications with our strategic partners. 
  • Technology and Product Roadmaps: Ability to listen to customers’ needs and convert them into technology and product roadmap strategies, including funding strategies and profiles.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and influence management skills with an ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Representation: Represent the company in meetings and events as needed. Attend meetings on behalf of the company and leadership team, and back brief important points and next steps.
  • Strategic Business Capture: Ability to understand the customers’ needs and gaps, translate that into operational concepts and technical solutions, and develop and execute funding and contracting strategies to enable business capture.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to external customers, and internal teams. Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate operational and technical challenges and solutions. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Proposal Writing and Management: Provide proposal management activities in support of our strategic business capture objectives. Coordinate and execute business capture kick-off meetings, develop and document win themes, storyboards, and ghosting strategies. Manage the proposal team and associated timelines and responsibilities. Provide proposal writing as required.
  • Meeting Preparation: Anticipate, prepare, and coordinate materials for executive and customer meetings, ensuring that the team is well-informed and prepared for all partner and customer engagements. 
  • Initiative: Be highly self-motivated and able to see what needs to be accomplished and develop your path forward on completing the required objectives.
  • Organizational and Multitasking: Ability to multitask with simultaneous projects and tasks while demonstrating urgency, prioritization, and ownership to drive objectives to completion. Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to be goal/execution oriented. Be able to react seamlessly to changes in priorities and focus. Capable of balancing high-level thinking and organization and the ability to provide tactical/individual contributions.

Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a Master’s preferred, in Engineering, Business, Entrepreneurship, Organization Management or equivalent.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a combination of individual contributor and leadership or management roles
  • Proven track record to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Xcel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Prior military service with strong understanding of the logistic and operational needs of the DoD and combat arms. 
  • Solid understanding of DoD / Government S&T, requirements, and acquisition processes
  • Strategic Business Capture 
Additional Requirements 
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). 
Must be a US Citizen
DoD Security Clearance is desired or must have the ability to obtain one. (Non-cleared employees will not be subject to investigation upon employment. However, Stratom employees are expected to maintain their eligibility for a clearance.)
Ability and desire to travel up to 20% over the year, and up to 50% as needed. Travel will be primarily within the US.
