Position Summary & Responsibilities
Emergency Response: You may be called upon outside of regular working hours to support state response and recovery actions or to deploy to areas affected by an emergency or disaster.
Support Role: Assist Stratigos Dynamics, Inc. in responding when a disaster or emergency exceeds the capacity of a company or client.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly, including roving inside facilities or in vehicles.
- Ensure maximum safety and compliance for yourself and others.
- Verbally de-escalate situations to protect employees, customers, and clients.
- Examine doors, windows, and other areas to ensure security.
- Report and record data on property damage, unusual occurrences, etc., following company policies and procedures.
- Warn violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel them.
- Notify on-site individuals of visitors.
- Assist in responding to emergencies or disasters to preserve life and property, including fire safety and active shooter protocols.
- Perform routine monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
- Issue and record ID badges.
- Check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire systems to ensure they are operational.
- Report any unmet safety and sanitation standards to the supervisor.
- Be available for on-call work outside of normal business hours if needed and scheduled in advance.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are pertinent to the unit’s success.
Note: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education:
Completion of FEMA's Professional Development Series coursework related to Public Assistance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience in emergency management.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability in operating personal computers and Stratigos Dynamics, Inc. assigned programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with client and local government officials.
- Willingness to travel in-state several days a week to where disaster relief may be needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License.
- Clean background -Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC-Preferred
- LSBPSE Security Officer Armed License-Preferred if not we will facilitate licensing
