Stratford VNA is looking for a Intake and Billing Assistant for our skilled home care agency. Be an integrated part of our team, coordinating with our intake department and supervisory team to gather patient referral information, enter it into our medical record, and ensure admission nurses have the information needed. Coordinate with the billing department for insurance verification and authroization, assist the therapy coordinator in tracking and assigning therapy referrals and patients who are rehospitalized. Full-time position in our Stratford office.

Ideal candidate must have familiarity and knowledge of medical terminology, be organized and detail oriented, be a good communicator, interested in learning and proficient in computer use. Experience in insurance authorizations and verification a plus. Medical Assistants welcome to apply.

Candidate must have

• Have at least 2 years of clerical or office experience, preferably in a health care setting
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Have the ability to multitask, with attention to detail
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Be committed to excellent customer service
