Job Title: .NET Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Rate: $70 per hour
Duration of work: 12 Months
Work location: 33 Beaver Street, NYC“Hybrid” option.
Summary:
The Taxi and Limousine Commission requires a .NET engineer to maintain and implement changes to public phase and internal .NET applications critical to TLC and its daily operations. Some of these applications include:
ESAP (Electronic Summonsing and Administration Program): used to create and manage all summonses, settlements and directives issued to enforce TLC rules, as well as to prepare for court hearings.
NAU (New Application Unit): used to process new applications and renew existing ones, as well asto print temporary TLC licenses.
TLC Up (TLC Upload Portal): public portal that allows licensees to access information related to their licenses, submit documents to the TLC (e.g. insurance cards, fingerprinting docs, drug tests, etc), and update their contact information.
Description of Need:
The .Net Engineering Consultant will be required to:
Investigate, troubleshoot, document and fix issues experienced by business and technical users when working on .NET applications.
Create pipelines and perform deployments to different environments.
Develop changes to .NET applications required to accommodate the agency's needs and regulations updates.
Required Skills:
The .NET Engineer Must possess the following skills hands-on experience developing and supporting custom applications using Microsoft frameworks such as:
.NET Core Framework version 3.5 .
ASP.NET MVC version 3 .
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and related tools such as:
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Hands-on experience developing and supporting web applications built on HTML, JavaScript and CSS components.
Experience with SharePoint Online development, customization, configuration and administration.
Experience with Power Platform applications (Power Automate, PowerApps, etc.)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Hands-on experience with creating and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as Azure DevOps Boards and Pipelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for document and knowledge transfer
