We are seeking a skilled Security Locksmith Technician to join our team at the US Naval Undersea Warfare Center. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in installing, repairing, and modifying high-security locking systems and BEST lock and key systems. Additionally, experience with safecracking of GSA approved containers is required.

General Responsibilites include: Installs, repairs, modifies, and opens a variety of locking mechanisms found on doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults. Examines locking mechanism and installs new unit or disassembles unit and replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts or repairs them by filing, drilling, chiseling and grinding. Opens door locks by moving lockpick in cylinder or opens safe locks by listening to lock sounds or by drilling. Makes new or duplicate keys, using key cutting machine. Changes combination by inserting new or repaired tumblers into lock. Establishes keying systems for buildings.

Clearance: Top Secret (TS) level clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.

Requirements:

• Installing, Repairing, and Modifying Locking Systems: Demonstrated experience with high-security locking systems and BEST lock and key systems.
• Safecracking Expertise: Experience with safecracking of GSA approved containers.
• Certifications: Possession of a KABA MAS CDX09/X10 installation certificate and of KABA MAS CDX09/X10 operations certificate.
• Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) level clearance.
• Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI): Working knowledge and experience with SCI.

Required Certifications:

• KABA MAS CDX09/X10 installation certificate.
• KABA MAS CDX09/X10 operations certificate.

Please note that this job posting is part of a proposal for a contract with the US Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Upon successful awarding of the contract, the selected candidate will be hired for this position.
