Strategic Services Inc. is Hiring a SAP Vertex/FICO Contract Consultant Near Princeton, NJ

We are currently looking for an SAP Vertex Consultant for a project in Princeton, NJ
Details are as follows:

Title: SAP Vertex/FICO Lead Tax Consultant
Location: Remote indefinitely. Should be comfortable traveling to New York/New Jersey if and when in person activities resume.
Employment Type- Full-time / Contract / Regular
Environment: SAP S/4 HANA

Duties and Responsibilities:

SAP FI TAX consultant
Experience in configuring New GL, AP/AR, AA, PCA, PCA, GAAP, foreign currency evaluation and country-specific taxation and localization
Integration knowledge between FI and other logistics modules (e.g. MM, SD)
Understanding of SAP S4HANA Simplifications across SAP Domains FI, MM, SD, PP, etc
To be able to work with ABAP queries, Report Painter and Report Writer
To have SAP Workflow experience & hands-on functional CONFIGURATION experience with SAP FI & CO modules
Support internal customers in their definition of tax business process requirements
Prepare technical specification documents to define how the SAP and Vertex systems should be configured to realize business requirements
Configure the Vertex O Series system (i.e Legal entity, Tax payers, Tax assist rules, ECM)
Define the concept for and execute migration activities
Test the SAP / Vertex interface; including analysis of Vertex logs
Execute Vertex functional test cases
Resolve defects that are reported during the user test cycles
SAP Tax solution design and development

Essential Requirements

Strong FICO Skills and Accounting skills
Minimum 8 years of Experience in SAP VERTEX. Expert in Vertex interface including:
- Vertex - use/input taxation, Vertex -VAT/VAT exempt Tax - Tax codes/Tax Assist rules/Jurisdiction codes/calculation procedures
- Vertex Tax Accelerator Mapping (Tax drivers mapping)
- Vertex Custom User Exit mapping
- Vertex – SAP Tax Accelerator reports
- Advanced Tax Return for Tax on Sales/Purchases
- Vertex non-deductible Tax/ Reverse Charge
- Vertex – RFC connectivity & updates
Exposure to RPA is highly preferred
Must have strong communication and team management skills
Must have worked in multi Country implementation/roll-out experience

Eligibility

Experience in Retail/Fashion Industry is a plus
5-10 years SAP S4 HANA experience in consulting with at least one E2E full life cycle implementation
S4 HANA/Simple Finance certification preferred
