Job Opportunity: Registrar with The Modern College of Design in Dayton, OH

We are seeking a Registrar who exhibits strong organizational, data management, and collaboration skills. You will ensure the accuracy and security of student records, prepare semester schedules, and collect data for compliance reports.

Under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer, the Registrar will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with staff and provide excellent student and alumni services.
  • Maintain accurate academic records.
  • Develop schedules and academic calendars.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the student information system.
  • Prepare accurate data for reports.
  • Ensure the security of student data.
  • Proactively oversee projects to ensure that quality results are delivered promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Take immediate corrective action when operations deviate from The Modern's standards.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within the rules and guidelines of The Modern.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to efficiently manage opening and closing duties and provide consistent and reliable services at the campus front desk.
  • Provide excellent student services regarding course scheduling and program completion.
  • Process transcript requests and enrollment/graduation verifications.
  • Adjust degree audits for transfer credits, course withdrawals, program withdrawals, program dismissals, leave of absence forms, program changes, and incomplete grades.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to issue diplomas. Collect signatures, distribute paper copies, and archive digital copies in student records.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer and Program Directors to develop instructor assignments.
  • Prepare accurate data for midterm and final grades, compliance reports, the President's Lists, and other requests.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Strong customer service, communications, records management, and organizational skills are required
  • A minimum of two years of records management experience and a Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • High integrity and ethics
  • Data security management
  • Vendor management
  • Anthology Student, CampusVue, Student Nexus, or other student information system
  • Ability to interpret and apply applicable accreditor, state, and federal regulations and laws
