Career Opportunity: HSE Specialist with WST in Covington, KY

As the HSE Specialist (Health, Safety, Environmental) with WST, you will assess, plan, and implement safety measures for our employees working at a variety of customer facilities, and at our warehouse. You will ensure understanding and compliance with company, client, and government health and safety regulations and requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments of customer job site ensuring best practices are in place meeting company safety standards.
• Identify and provide training and equipment to maintain safety for our employees in the field and at our warehouse.
• Review and improve safe work standards and practices, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local agency guidelines.
• Conduct PPE audits and training.
• Manage and maintain safety related VMS documentation.
• Audit teams for compliance with company safety policy and customer safety requirements.
• Maintain employee safety training records and documentation.
• Manage the New Hire Safety Orientation training program.
• Conduct or advise on personal injury investigations, incident investigations, and assist in the JHA process and driving field understanding.
• Document all incidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities, and report accordingly.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
• Some travel required, full-time, first shift.

Other requirements for this position include:

• Related degree desired.
• 3-4 years environmental safety experience.
• Experience with high-risk operations in an industrial environment; required.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
• Proven ability to implement process improvements.
• Self-starter. Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
