Job Title: Software Developer
Shift: 1st
Status: Full-time, Exempt
We are seeking an intermediate to senior level Software Developer to join our growing team.
The Software Developer and Quality Assurance (QA) Tester will play an integral role in researching, designing, and developing computer and network software and specialized programs. This individual should be capable of analyzing user needs to develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science and engineering. This role will work with internal team members to integrate hardware and software systems, maintain databases within specific applications, and track performance of operating systems. This role will need a self-driven, autonomously capable person to succeed.
Position Duties:
  • Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of new systems or modification of existing systems.
  • Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Working with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
  • Conferring with systems administrators, engineers, and other internal parties to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Consulting with third-party entities on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
  • Coordinating installation of software systems.
  • Developing or directing software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.
  • Modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Monitoring functions of equipment to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications.
  • Obtaining and evaluating information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, or security needs to determine software configurations.
  • Training users on new or modified software and applications.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
  • 5 years in Developer/Dev Ops role
  • Distinguished in multiple languages including Python, Visual Basic, T-SQL, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET and C#
  • Proficient in multiple markup languages including HTML and Bootstrap
  • Preferred experience with cloud environments, namely AWS and Azure
  • Preferred 5 years of experience with database tools (RedGate, Crystal Reports, Tableau)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or closely related field preferred, may substitute for equivalent years of experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
