Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC)’s Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kits (MECKs), has an immediate need for a Technical Support Lead to plan and oversee support of MECK kits before, during, and after field deployments, gather and report status as needed, and interact with MSC leadership to ensure StratasCorp’s support aligns to MSC’s needs. The primary location will be onsite at Naval Station Norfolk, with some work occurring at other locations. Primary responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily MECK team operations, including management of monitoring, testing, IA compliance items (to include ATO requirements), and maintenance actions for MECK kits located onsite and staged at CONUS and OCONUS sites
• Manage team workloads to ensure all contractually required tasks are completed successfully
• Work with the Senior MECK Team Lead to plan for, report on, and complete required MECK system installations and removals at CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Maintain a tracking system to outline the IA posture and operability status for MECK assets and equipment to ensure their fitness for use
• Work with MSC civilian and US Navy military representatives for near and long-term planning, status reporting, issue reporting, trend analysis, team logistics requirements, improvement recommendations, and artifact submissions.

• Must possess current IAT III or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M, and be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
• Must have 7 years or more of progressive IT experience supporting maintenance and rollouts of various IT and communications systems (portable comm kits preferred) to include some or all of the following: Windows 10 deployment, Windows-based laptop maintenance, workstation imaging/cloning technology, security patch installation and incident management, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS )scanning, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checks and implementation, Cisco router configuration, and Communication Security (COMSEC) management
• Must have experience managing and leading a team of IT technicians
• Should be able to manage the COMSEC requirements needed to transport classified equipment worldwide
• Must be able to travel to support mission requirements (should be less than 10%)
