Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant Operator West Fargo, ND

Position Summary
Ensure a safe working environment and oversee daily production, plant maintenance and repairs, and delivery of products. In addition to supervising the production workforce, assists in hiring, training and motivating employee's toward accomplishing divisional goals and objectives. Endeavor to create and enforce a positive culture of safety and stewardship. Ensure compliance with all appropriate governmental regulations. Coordinate production activities to achieve corporate profitability and sales objectives. Assist in compliance of corporate QC/QA policies as applied to the assigned area.

General Responsibilities
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, employment, management, and other company policies, procedures, and principles established by government agencies and Strata Corporation

• Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the concrete batch plant and related equipment
• Proficient with Command Batch and Command Alkon dispatch software
• Supervise production workforce as directed by operation management
• Coordinate equipment utilization that promotes maximum efficiencies
• Maximize profitability by supporting corporate sales goals and marketing initiatives
• Support compliance with corporate QC/QA policies
• Assist in employee and customer problem resolution.
• Assist with plant inventory management
• Assist in scheduling all maintenance and repair activities
• Maintain confidentiality with privileged information
• Present favorable company image to customers and employees
Specific Tasks
• Coordinate and schedule with customers to insure timely concrete delivery and maximize equipment utilization
Plant operation
• Responsible for plant and dispatch operations
• Hire, train, and discipline employees in accordance with company policies
• Coordinate labor with project schedules
• Assist in employee performance reviews
• Remove non-performers
• Ensure all time cards, blue cards, and delivery documents, are completed as per company policies
• Maintain plant site and equipment with high expectations of appearance and cleanliness in accordance with company policy
• Assist in and conduct QC procedures
o Test, document, and track concrete plastic properties
Plant testing per company QC policies
• Sales Support
o Increase sales / profitability by promoting value added sales
• Assist in managing and conducting employee training programs assigned by divisional and regional operations managers
o Weekly tool box meeting
o Concrete Batch operator training
o Driver training
o Concrete pump operator training
o Belt conveyor operator training

Compensation:
Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Must possess current valid driver's license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
