Who we are
Strange Delight is a Nola-inspired oyster bar set to open in the vibrant neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Our goals are not just about serving responsibly sourced seafood in new and novel ways but also about sustaining and supporting our community, our vendors, and our team to the best of our ability. We aim to create a space that is, simply put, fun and different from our peers.

We are conveniently located in Fort Greene on Lafayette Ave, just steps away from the G train and plenty of other public transportation options.
We are looking for:
Oyster shuckers
Line cooks
Prep cooks
Porters
Some Responsibilities
Team player works towards collective goals
Knowledge of station and deliverables, ability to prep
Meet deadlines, work efficiently, management of time
Organize, label, and transport inventoryAble to lift 50 lbs or heavier
Able to be on feet for long periods of time and use the basement stairwell
Understanding of workplace safety protocol, NYC DOH Food Handling is a plus
Able to clean, sanitize, and work cleanly in an open kitchen environment that serves raw food
Knowledge of Cajun/Creole cuisine is a plus
Experience with shucking oysters and cleaning shellfish is a plus
Desired Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced and professional environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
