Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, including food preparation, menu planning, and ensuring high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, strong leadership skills, and a creative approach to food.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Plan and create menus that are innovative, appealing, and meet dietary requirements
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Train kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and safety procedures
- Oversee inventory control to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food service management
- Experience working in dietary departments or with specific dietary restrictions is a plus
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of bartending is an asset
