Position Summary:
This technician is responsible for assisting in the continued development and improvement of product quality procedures to ensure compliance with FDA cGMP CFR 111, California Proposition 65, FDA OTC, and other regulations. Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems; validating processes; providing documentation.
Essential Functions:
1) Perform sample preparation for analysis.
2) Operate and troubleshoot HPLC, HPTLC, FTIR systems.
3) Daily maintenance and clean lab equipments.
4) Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
5) Manage lab equipment calibration schedule.
6) Assist in answering questions to auditor during FDA, GMP & Food Safety inspections.
7) Provide support to all departments and miscellaneous projects as needed.
8) Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
1) Vision, hearing, writing, and speaking to meet performance standards.
2) Standing, sitting, walking, and bending for extended periods of time.
3) Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
Work Environment:
Requires ability to work in an environment that contains fumes, dust, odors, noise, chemicals, temperature variations and varying degrees of ventilation.
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related major with extensive experience in HPLC.
2) Excellent detail-oriented and organizational skills required.
3) Excellent problem-solving and basic trouble-shooting ability required.
4) Excellent knowledge of Laboratory equipment and safety required.
5) Expert knowledge of Laboratory Documentation is required.
6) Working knowledge of cGMP in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment preferred.
7) Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
8) Three years HPLC experience.
9) Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in related area.
10) Ability to utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
11) Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
