Stout Street Foundation and Serenity are looking for substance abuse counselors, full time and part time opportunities available in both our Long Term Therapeutic Community as well as our 28 day intensive residential treatment program. Job Description and Duties:

• Clinical caseload counselors will assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, and educational development and adjustment.
• Maintain a caseload of clients
• Assess and evaluate client issues throughout the use of case history, interviewing, and observation
• Maintain updated progress notes, monthly reports, etc.
• Facilitate groups
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Responsible for coordinating and confirming transitional care (i.e. step down treatment, mental health and/or chemical dependency treatment, housing, transportation, and Serenity aftercare)
• Understand and adhere to OBH, Signal, Medicaid, and CARF standards
• Maintain knowledge of current Policy and Procedures
• Responsible for directing Emergency Response Procedures
• Support Floor managers-Assume these responsibilities when needed

Skills/Qualifications:

• CAS, LAC and preferably secondary licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
• QMAP qualified, CPR Certified (can obtain on the job)
• Must be able to work nights and weekends-flexibility is a plus
