Product Support Technician

Location: Kennesaw, GA, 30144

Job Description:

The Product Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and Field Service team for Storz Medical's Hospital and Office line products. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues related to hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong technical background. The position will be based out of Storz Medical America's Kennesaw, Ga facility. Up to 30% travel required. This position is onsite in Kennesaw, GA with the hybrid portion being occasional travel to US and Canadian customers on short notice.

Responsibilities:

• Work in concert with service department to provide technical support to customers and field service via phone, email, or on-site service.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose technical issues, and perform repairs related to hardware and software.
• Document and track customer issues and resolutions in our CRM system.
• Collaborate with administration and logistics to address customer needs.
• Perform bench level repairs and inspections to assist with field parts return process.
• Stay current with new products and Technical Service Information releases.
• Assist logistics department on occasion to process parts shipments to the field.
• Maintain a small field service territory.

Requirements:

• Minimum of associate/vocational degree in electronics or equivalent military technical training and experience. 
• 2 years of experience in technical support or related field.
• Strong technical background in hardware and software.
• X-ray or Biomedical Field Service experience are a plus.
• Adept Microsoft Windows user with working knowledge of connectivity and basic computer repair.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with CRM systems and ticketing systems.
• Must be able to lift 80lbs.
• Must have a valid passport or able to obtain one.
• Must pass a thorough background check including driving record.
