Story Quest is a before and after-school program that has an excellent opportunity for a part-time position. A community church operates the program and has a great working environment. Story Quest provides care for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade. We are looking for a fun, energetic teacher with a good character who likes working with elementary-age children. The successful candidate must have:

High School Diploma (Associates Degree preferred)

• 90 hours certification by MSDE Office of Childcare
• 9 hours communication or college equivalent
• ADA Training
• Medication Administration Training
• Basic Safety and Health
• First Aide, CPR
• Driver’s license for transportation of students in company vehicle
• Must be 19 years of age per MSDE OCC regulations.
• Reimbursement for interested candidates who do not have the required class work.

Hours:

• 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Friday
• Additional hours available when schools are closed or early release
• Potential for 40 hours a week in summer

Compensation:

• $15 -$17.50 per hour
• MSDE Continuing Education Classes Reimbursed
• Paid Time Off
• Two weeks paid vacation
