Storti Quality is Hiring a LNG Construction Coordinator Near Boston, MA

Purpose: The LNG Construction Coordinator provides observation of construction activities taking place at the client’s LNG facilities. The position will observe both internal / external resources, providing company representation and direct feedback to the client’s management group. This position is multi‐faceted with responsibilities that include the coordination of activities, review of technical documents, input into development and monitoring of budget and schedules, reconciliation of time and material invoices, various administrative duties, monitoring of contractor performance for safe, efficient, and quality work practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of personnel by taking direct preventive measures, participating effectively in weekly safety meetings, and ensuring all related standards, rules and laws are followed. Communicate safety deficiencies directly to contractor.
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses.
  • Communicate with project group concerning all aspects of Coordinate outages between the plant operator and contractor.
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with appropriate client standards and work methods including monitoring for adherence to design and ensuring productivity.
  • Monitor current and future activities to ensure plans and schedules maximize productivity, control costs and meet or exceed quality requirements.
  • Conduct field measurements to confirm material quantities and drawing
  • Monitor the execution of contractor project activities to evaluate construction techniques in terms of quality, safety, timeline schedule and cost efficiencies.
  • Perform reporting activities that monitor, track and detail site activities in areas of importance such as cost overruns, deviations in design, change order request, schedule, and stakeholder issues.
  • Monitor progress of site activities, evaluating tasks to eliminate waste, and recommend corrective actions to ensure the project remains within schedule and budget.
  • Monitor construction and assembly activities ensuring they meet contract
  • Record expended quantities of materials and services used on site; and forecast needs to Identify non‐conforming work during construction activities and works with the contractor to address. Support management in punch‐list definition, identifying remaining activities to be completed.
  • Provide input based on lessons learned to the management team for their use in future Participate in meetings as requested by the management team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of LNG, gas, power or other plant construction, operations and maintenance principles, practices, safety standards and business processes.
  • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods, and
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven problem solving, schedule management, project administration and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and be able to identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents as well as in the
    • Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy
    • Ability to meet project deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline plus a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a supervisory position on a multidisciplinary, technical project within the industrial, power, utility, gas or oil industries OR an equivalent of education and experience.

Licenses & Certifications

Massachusetts Driver’s License (Required) Construction Supervisor’s License Journeyman’s Pipefitters License Journeyman’s Electrical License

Additional:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Demands:

  • Duties are performed primarily in an outdoor setting with exposure to changing weather conditions.
  • Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Position requires the ability to climb up and down ladders
  • Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
  • Ambulatory across uneven surfaces, frequent bending at knees and waist.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
