Summary

The Design Measure Manager oversees the measurement, enhancement, and alignment of Sales Contracts. They lead a group of design measure representatives who guarantee that the product can be installed as per its initial design. Moreover, they are tasked with handling the team members' budgets and schedules.


Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Managing Teams: Supervise teams of Design Representatives who are responsible for measuring, meeting with customers, making design changes and determining how the installation will occur.
  • Scheduling and Oversight: Schedule and oversee the measurements and appointments of contracts, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures.
  • Budget and Timeline Management: Manage Department budget and schedules for installation projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients and outside resources, addressing any concerns and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and preparing reports on project status is part of their role.
  • Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and task assignments.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead and manage Design Reps and Administrative staff, ensuring they follow safety protocols and adhere to project specifications.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
    • Track project expenses and manage the budget.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety:
    • Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
    • Collaborate with team members to find solutions.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders, including installation teams, contract administrator, manufacturing and clients.
    • Report progress, delays, and any changes promptly.
  • Documentation:
    • Keep accurate records of work completed, Issues arisen and product issues
    • Prepare reports for installation managers and Senior Leadership

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
  • Math skills, including calculus and other advanced mathematics
  • Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
  • Construction knowledge
  • Florida Building code knowledge is a plus
  • Previous General Contract is a plus


Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

  • 5 years of Contraction work in variety of positions
  • Supervisory Experience: Typically, installation managers have 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required
  • A bachelor’s degree is a plus, although experience and expertise are equally valuable.


Work Environment:
