Job Description:
The Field Insurance Claims Specialist is to support the sales team and in-house Insurance Supplementer. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.
This role is primarily to serve as the direct contact during field adjustments with the Insurance Adjuster onsite to ensure a thorough estimate of weather remediation, restoration and/or repair.
Job Responsibilities:

• Attend inspections and meetings with insurance company representatives as required.
• Keep clients informed throughout the claim process, offering high-quality customer service.
• Stay up to date with current legislation and regulations affecting public adjusting and insurance claims.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all claims and negotiations.
• Follow up on jobs where paperwork turned into the office is not filled out correctly.
• Follow up on jobs turned into the office that are placed on hold/cancelled to get the jobs back on track.
• Follow up on jobs that need re-inspections and provide documentation and/or photo reports.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Read Insurance estimates (summaries) with the ability to explain to customers.
• Help prepare sales associates by educating them on insurance processes and the product selection meetings.

Job Requirements:

• Understanding of the complexities of insurance claims.
• A keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a drive to support our company and customers.
• Ability to climb ladders and be present on roofs with inspectors.
• A valid Public Adjuster's license in IL.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in storm damage insurance claims or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• The capacity to manage multiple claims efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Knowledge of Use Xactimate estimating software and/or related programs
