Job Description

The maintenance technician must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel to our properties in Columbus, GA.

While performing all job duties he or she is expected to demonstrate a positive attitude. The maintenance technician is expected to keep an organized, orderly supply room and manage the following key aspects of property maintenance (this list is representative, not exhaustive) :

• Clean vacant units
• Maintain golf carts, gates operators and keypads, and other equipment
• Perform light inspections and replace light bulbs and ballasts as needed
• Monitor maintenance supply inventory for re-ordering and keep stock organized in supply rooms
• Pick up trash around property
• Spray weeds
• Pressure washing
• Inspect, clean, and replace signage
• Inspect PTAC and HVAC units. Clean and replace filters
• Clean and mop hallways
• Transport supplies among the Columbus locations
• Wire and mount camera and networking equipment

The maintenance technician is expected to work five days a week and be on site during the entire day except for a one hour lunch break.

Our standard office hours are :

• M-F : 9am - 6pm
• Sat : 9am - 4pm
• Sun : Closed

The maintenance technician position is eligible for Storage Xxtra's employee benefits package, which includes healthcare, 6 days of paid time off for holidays, and 16 additional days of general paid time off for the year.

Pay range from $18 / hr to $20 / hr depending on the level of experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and be honest
• Prior property maintenance experience
• Basic computer knowledge, such as typing, emailing, printing, etc.
