Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent). Four (4) years of progressively responsible full-time administrative experience. Experience managing a budget. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience. Supervisory experience. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate complex information. Experience effectively multi-tasking in a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment with a high degree of accuracy and organization. Demonstrated ability to improve business processes. Experience working with, and maintaining, confidential information. Highly proficient, professional experience in word processing, spreadsheet management, electronic messaging and internet applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Apps, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:
Financial budgeting and/or reporting experience. Experience working in a Higher Education/Academic environment. Experience liaising with units such as budget, finance, and/or human resources. Experience working with at least one of the following campus computer systems: PeopleSoft, Oracle, Wolfmart, SUNYBI, SBU Reporting, E-RAS, RF Business Applications, CBM. Experience with New York State, Research Foundation and Stony Brook Foundation accounts and transactions.
Brief Description of Duties: This position will assist the Director of Finance and Management with all financial and operational activity relating to the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Will represent the Director in their absence. Excellent customer service skills to include experience interacting with a culturally and ethnically diverse population is vital to this position
