Job Description

• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the Cardiology Department provides quality service by performing a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for the admission of patients that are scheduled for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, stress tests, echocardiography and chest pain (observation patients).

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner-Masters in Nursing degree and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
• New York State Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses required
• Nurse Practitioner National Board Certification required.
• Previous experience relevant to the area of cardiology and prescriptive privileges in New York State.
• Physician Assistant-Graduate of an educational program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for Physician assistant (ARC-PA) typically a Master’s Degree.
• New York State Licensed Physician and National Board Certification in a specialty required.
• Previous experience relevant to the area of cardiology and prescriptive privileges in New York State.
