Schedule Full Time 1.0 7a-7p-Flex. (3 shifts per week for 3 weeks, and 4 shifts per week for 1 week in a 4-week period).

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manger, the Unit Secretary will perform all clerical duties required by the nursing unit. In addition, is directly involved with patient care by participation in interdepartmental communication.

Please note that to ensure a flexible workforce as well as developing the skills and competencies of the Hospital's clinical staff, this position will be cross trained to cover the following departments: Detox/Psych/MedSurg/ICU

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Experience and/or education in health related field preferred

• BLS Certification
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Good computer skills utilizing various software including MS Office applications and/or MedHost
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift or assist in lifting a client from bed to chair to standing or vice versa. Must be able to respond quickly and effectively communicate orally in an emergent situation. Must be able to use stairs in an emergent situation. Must be able to walk, carry semi-heavy equipment, and reach overhead. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with clients or associates.
