StoneHill Hotel Management Group is Hiring a Best Western General Manager Near Cambridge, OH

Stonehill Hotels, LLC is searching for a General Manager at our 70 room Best western in Cambridge, Ohio.

The ideal candidate is responsible for creating and maintaining an employee retention environment that inspires all employees to perform at their best. This individual will oversee the quality process to ensure excellence in guest satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product and services.

The GM will supervise, hire, and train all employees and ensure they meet all standards. This individual will set a proper example at all times. Previous management experience in hotel operations is required.

Candidates with Best Western certifications are preferred.

Requirements:

1.Interview, hire, and train all new employees and follow-up with existing employees to ensure they are meeting, or exceeding service and quality standards.

2. To schedule all employees working within budgeted levels.

3. To continuously monitor all work performance at the property. The GM will develop improvement plans with employees when needed.

4. To advise the management office of all matters requiring guidance and approval.

5. To ensure the confidence level of all employees is in keeping with a positive image of the property and company.

6. To monitor, evaluate, and improve employee training programs. As our group of properties grow, advancement to senior level management positions comes from within our group of employees.

7. To maintain property management and office personnel files.

8. To conduct training sessions for employees in both classroom and on-site environments.

9. To ensure the property is maintained to the high standards of the brand, the owners, and Management Company. Physical tours and visual inspections of the property is done on a daily basis.

10. To carry out such duties and special assignments as may be required from time to time.

11. Participate, when possible, in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for the property. The GM is also required to meet with potential and current clients and promote the property.

12. Monitor cost controls, property condition, cleanliness and quality of ourp roduct and service throughout the property. The GM will greet and maintain a rapport with employees and guests. Basic requirements include:

1. Mature, stable, and pleasing personality.
2. Clean, neat, personal appearance.
3. Ability to prioritize and organize daily workload.
4. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
5. Ability to effectively deal with guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
6. Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, repairs, maintenance, budget and forecasting skills, quality assurance, and hotel law.
7. Leadership skills to motivate and develop a staff and to ensure compliance of established goals.
8. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with management and staff - being persuasive, clear, and to the point.
9. Ability to move throughout the premises and visually inspect conditions including bending, stooping, and reaching arms overhead.
10. Ability to concentrate on tasks over long period of time. The GM must be able to focus on our mission statement and demonstrate its importance to all employees at the property
11. Complete understanding of MS Word and Excel. Understanding of Jonus Chorum property management system is preferred.
