Position Purpose:

The purpose of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to serve Jesus Christ by serving the Staff, Church Body of SGF, and the Midland & Odessa communities by providing facilities that are clean, safe, and welcoming.

Role Basics | Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency; notify appropriate personnel
• Conduct maintenance of electrical systems - change lighting ballasts, bulbs. etc.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are in good working order
• Maintain refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection. Quickly schedule repairs when needed.
• Coordinate and communicate with contractors to perform repairs that are beyond the scope of the maintenance staff
• Able to rotate on-call weekends/evenings for occasional after-hours emergencies
• Use of computer to view, create and close work orders as well as operate building control systems 
• Communicate with supervisor about budget development and ensure if is followed
• Ability and willingness to teach, train, and mentor less experienced team members as well as continue learning and growing personally
• All other duties assigned by supervisor

Minimum Work and Education:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Management experience in related field a plus
• Bilingual a plus

Required Competencies:

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Aligned beliefs with Stonegate Fellowship and core tenants of the Christian faith
• Driver License and ability to be insured
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
• Physically capable of lifting 50lbs
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including but not limited to powered lifts, (forklift, scissor lift) power tolls, generators and pressure washers
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Written and verbal communication skills as well as computer literacy
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Time Requirement:

• FT hours
• Weekends and occasional events
