DINING ROOM CAPTAIN

Stonebridge Golf & Country Club, a premier private country club in west Boca Raton is seeking to hire a Dining Room Captain to join our staff in our Food and Beverage department. The Dining room Captain ensures that members and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Monitors setup, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of dining areas. Supervises and trains the dining room staff to Country Club standards of excellence.

The ideal candidate will be Energetic, Enthusiastic, experienced captain in fine dining in a high-volume environment, and must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a comparable position in a private country club or fine dining restaurant.
• Available to work flexible schedule including Lunch and Dinner and able to work on weekends and holidays.
• Must have good supervisory skills and must have teaching and motivational skills.
• Must exhibit an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate the Members and exceed their expectations.
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of the Club and the Members.
• Must maintain a level of professionalism and communicate effectively.
• Must be considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees.
• Must have a good self-image and be able to command the respect of the employees.
• Must be able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times.
• Must handle Member complaints according to Club policies and procedures.
• Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals and honesty beyond reproach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff during set up, serving and clearing.
• Train new food and beverage staff
• Assists with serving of food and beverages as required.
• Ensure the highest level or service is provided by the club’s serving staff.
• Assists in placing meal order through POS system, with proper table and seat number, and cover counts, ensuring that all drink and food items are correctly recorded to Member accounts and that all other information resulting from the entry is correct. Inform Cooks of any special cooking instructions.
• Present dining bill and vocally verify the accuracy of Member’s name. Process all Member and guest charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
• Rearrange furniture and fixtures in order to prepare for an event.
• Attend all mandatory Food & Beverage staff meetings and all mandatory Club staff meetings.
• Perform other reasonable job related responsibilities as required.
