Project Specialist

Supervisory Responsibility: Lead

Position Type: Full-time/Salary

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Capability to lead a team of technicians under the supervision of the project manager.
  • Install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and customer training on assigned projects.
  • Runs wiring, installs hardware, and field terminate all devices.
  • Inspect teams’ and subcontractor’s workmanship.
  • Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and wiring; adjusts and repairs as required.
  • Replaces malfunctioning hardware when necessary.
  • Ensures installations comply with Stone Security Standards.
  • Familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

· Must communicate, oversee and work closely with subcontractors.

· Performs other related duties as required.

  • Travel may be required.
  • As a Project Specialist, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Stone grows.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Four years of experience installing network camera systems (Milestone, Axis, Hanwha and Bosch)
  • Four years of experience installing security systems (DMP and Bosch)
  • Four years of experience installing access control systems (Lenel and S2).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of leading a security installation team.
  • Aptitude for networking, computers and general IT is preferred.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 years of related work experience required
  • On-the-job training may be provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Physically able to install system hardware and wiring.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. at a time.

Benefits:

  • Medical Insurance – monthly premium is 100% company-paid for employee and employee’s family (if applicable). There is a maximum $3,000 reimbursement per year for any deductible-related expenses in addition to the monthly premium.
  • Dental Insurance – monthly premium is 100% company-paid
  • Basic Life Insurance – a $25,000 basic insurance policy is paid by the company. Any additional amounts need to be paid by the employee.
  • Voluntary Vision Insurance – this is a voluntary plan and the company only pays 50% of the employee’s monthly premium.
  • 401K with a 4% employer match
  • 13 holidays off with pay
  • PTO - Upon initial eligibility, the employee is entitled to 18 days (1.5 days/mo) of PTO each year, accrued monthly the first year of employment beginning from date of hire. Immediately after the first anniversary, all 18 days of PTO are available to use any time during the year.
  • Company-paid cellphone.

· Lunch card with $10 deposited per workday ($2,430 per calendar year)
