Project Overview/Impact on the Organization

This is a role supporting a company that our client had acquired. This person will be working in the client's legacy environment along with the new product development environment. 

Job Responsibilities

• SRE or DevOps experience in managing customer-facing systems in 24/7 environment as well as working closely with software development teams.
• Work with Terraform to build new infrastructures and maintain existing Terraform infrastructures.
• Work on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab CICD
• Work cloud cost optimization, reducing cost by implementing resize, shutdown non peak hours, autoscaling and removing unused volumes etc. 
• Containerization solutions Kubernetes, EKS & Docker along with DevOps tools Gitlab(CI/CD).
• Provide first-line technical support for Cloud Scenarios and/or build small logic scenarios/pilot projects/POC’s to customers and showcase cloud capabilities for customer scenarios.
• Develop and deploy reliable, large-scale, services across multiple technology stacks
• Implement observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting using DataDog, Prometheus/Grafana, and other tools
• Generate reports regarding service metrics on performance, availability, and reliability.

Must-Have Skillsets

1a. Terraform

1b. CI/CD pipelines - either Jenkins or GitLab

2. Kubernetes/Docker/containerization

3. GCP / AWS experience 

Nice to Have Skillsets 

Ability to code in Python and create automation and tooling would also be a huge plus

Additional Details: 

You will be required to work in office 3 days a week, so we are only considering candidates that are local to the Boise area. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time so you will need to be able to convert Perm without any sort of sponsorship assistance. 

Any sort of Cloud certification is required for this role. You will either need to show proof of your certification or be open to obtaining a cloud certification when hired.
