Summary

The Materials Planner / Buyer role is responsible for ordering ingredients, packaged beer and or supplies while also performing inventory maintenance, maintaining vendor relations, and participating in the supplier evaluation process.

Responsibilities :

• Support brewing operations with material planning and replenishment procurement for direct materials, indirect materials, ingredients, packaged beer and supplies
• Maintain adequate supplies of all necessary items based on material requirements planning (MRP) review
• Serve as the main point of contact between vendors and internal team
• Ensure purchase pricing is maintained and adhered to based on contracted rates
• Partner with company suppliers to manage production and quality issues as they arise
• Manage off-site inventory as required and ensure timely delivery of materials based on systematic purchase orders
• Engage with leadership to ensure accurate forecasting of usage and consistent supply
• Ensure prompt review of all material requirement notices, on-time placement and delivery of purchase orders, and monitor order status / shipments
• Comply with all aspects of supply agreements pertaining to timeliness of forecasts, purchase orders, pricing, and contractual minimums
• Monitor status of planned receipts to ensure supplier adherence to schedule and quantity requirements, escalating issues and expediting as necessary
• Engage assigned suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and quality, escalating issues and expediting as necessary

Requirements

• Experience : 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food, beverage, or CPG industry;

or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Computer Skills : Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Data Visualization software (PowerBI, Tableau)
• CSCP or CPIM certification or similar education credentials in combination with relevant work experience is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability in creative problem-solving and is solutions-oriented
• Team player with a focus on collaboration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships
• Strong sense of urgency with ability to prioritize effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Occasional travel required to other company locations

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

• Annual Salary Range : $67,000 - $70,000
