Join our team as a Mortgage Post-Closing Specialist at Stockton Mortgage, a thriving independent mortgage lender committed to delivering exceptional service and reliability in the mortgage industry. We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated professional to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all mortgage loan documentation post-closure. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify mortgage loan files for completeness and accuracy after closing, ensuring compliance with company policies, and federal and state regulations.
• Conduct audits of closed loan packages and add documents to Encompass and update file with date/information as needed.
• Coordinate and communicate with loan officers, underwriters, escrow agents, and title companies to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing of final documents.
• Manage and monitor the flow of final documents from closing agents to investors.
• Prepare and submit loan delivery packages to investors and follow up on any issues or deficiencies reported.
• Record and track the receipt of final title policies, deeds of trust, and other critical documents in the loan servicing system.
• Facilitate the correction of errors on closing documents and arrange for the re-signing of corrected documents as needed.
• Provide regular updates to management on the status of post-closing processes, monitor pipeline and highlighting any potential risks or delays.
• Assist in the training of new staff and contribute to the development of process improvements in the post-closing department.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of mortgage loan documentation, federal and state regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry.
• Experience with Title work, Encompass and Post-closing is a PLUS.
