Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion
  • Defining project scope, setting up bid packages, qualifying bids, and awarding contracts.
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
  • Developing project budgets, estimates, and schedules.
  • Negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Procuring and managing necessary resources and materials.
  • Creating and issuing purchase orders and change orders.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in high-end custom home building or commercial construction.
  • 5 years of construction management experience managing budgets and schedules.
  • Prior experience managing a construction site.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management best practices.
  • Fluency in software programs related to construction management, including project management software like Co-Construct, QuickBooks, and Excel.
  • Current knowledge of rules and regulations related to construction.
  • LEED, NGBS, or similar certification for energy efficiency/green building is a plus.
  • Experience leading a construction crew
  • Proven risk management experience in construction projects
  • Competent Person OSHA Safety training.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills including time management, budgeting, resource management, and scheduling.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary at $70,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
